For citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia, and most other nationalities, an e-Visa application for Vietnam can be submitted through WVT, which is:
– Valid for 90 days from the date of issue
– Allows a maximum stay of 30 days in total
– Has a processing time of 3-5 business days
Obtaining a Vietnamese E-Visa
The Vietnamese government now offers an electronic visa (e-visa) for tourists from most nationalities traveling to Vietnam. This new e-visa option allows for:
Single Entry and Multiple Entry
– Valid for 90 days from the date of issue
– Allows a total stay of 30 days
Requirements
– A copy of your return ticket
– Hotel reservations or travel itinerary
– If visiting family, an invitation letter from the family member
Special Cases
– Minors can be included on their parent’s e-visa application if they don’t have their own passport.
– Travelers from the United States, European Union countries, and the United Kingdom do not need a visa for stays up to 15 days in Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba, and Taba.
### Upon Arrival
– Print and carry at least one copy of your e-visa approval to present to immigration officers upon arrival in Vietnam.
– You will receive the actual visa stamp at the immigration counter.
### Important Note
Overstaying the authorized duration can result in fines, deportation, or being banned from future travel to Vietnam.
