Required Documents
Passport	Passport – have to be valid at least 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least two blank visa pages.
Photo	Two passport-type photographs. Do NOT glue or staple the photo to the application. Quality Requirements for Passport Book & Passport Card Photographs
Proof of U.S. Status	A copy of evidence of legal status in the U.S.
Visa Support Letter	The letter of invitation have to be written in Russian.Official letter of invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russia. Only applicable in certain countries. Please call for more information. Note: Original letter of invitation is required. A copy of the letter of invitation should be carried with your Passport and Visa when you travel to Russia. OR A written Letter of Invitation on company letterhead from the host organization in Russia. For this, only for Regular processing and only for 3 Year Multiple Entry Visa.
Former Russian Citizens	Documents supporting loss of citizenship.
Former Soviet and Ukrainian Citizens	A copy of your Soviet or Ukrainian Passport. A letter stating when you immigrated to the United States.
Proof of Departure	A copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent.
Application Form	The Russia Visa Online Application is known to be a long and tedious process.
