Required Documents
Passport	U.S. Official/Diplomatic Passport – have to be valid at least 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least two blank visa pages. For Additional Visa Pages and U.S. Passport Renewal.
Photo	Two passport-type photographs. Quality Requirements for Passport Book & Passport Card Photographs
Diplomatic Letter/Note	A cover letter from the government agency.
Visa Approval	In order to obtain an Official/Diplomatic Libyan Visa, you will need a reference/approval number from the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Your Visa application cannot be submitted to the Libyan Embassy without this Visa approval being in place. The US Embassy in Tripoli must obtain the approval on your behalf.
Proof of Departure	A copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent.
Application Form	Download Application Form One completed Visa Application, MUST be signed.
