Egypt e-Visa Information
Who Can Apply?
– Citizens of the United States, Canada*, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia, and most other nationalities can apply for an Egypt e-Visa through World Visa Travel.
*As of October 1st, 2023, Canadian passport holders must obtain a visa from the nearest Egyptian Embassy or Consulate and cannot apply for an Egypt e-Visa or visa on arrival.
Validity and Duration
– The Egypt e-Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
– It allows a maximum stay of 30 days in total.
Processing Time
– The processing time for an Egypt e-Visa application is 3-5 business days.
Accepted Travel Purposes
– The Egypt e-Visa is issued for tourism purposes.
Egyptian Tourist e-Visa
The Egyptian Government now offers a tourist e-visa for travel to Egypt, providing a new option for most nationalities to visit Egypt as a tourist.
Key Points
Validity
– Single Entry and Multiple e-Visas are valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
– Allows a total stay of 30 days.
Required Documents
– A copy of your return ticket
– Hotel reservations or itinerary of places you will be visiting
– If visiting family, an Invitation Letter from the family member is required
Minors
– Minors must apply through their parents’ application if they do not have their own passport.
Visa Exemptions
– Visa is not required for travelers from the United States, EU member countries, or the United Kingdom who are traveling to and staying in Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba, and Taba for up to 15 days.
Upon Arrival
– Print and carry at least one copy of your Visa Approval and present it to the immigration officer upon arrival.
– You will receive your actual visa stamp at the immigration counter at your port of arrival in Egypt.
Overstaying
– Exceeding your authorized duration of stay in Egypt could result in paying fines, deportation, or being forbidden from traveling to Egypt in the future.

Obtain an e-Visa Before Arrival
The Arab Republic of Egypt strongly recommends obtaining an e-Visa prior to your arrival in the country.
Non-Refundable Processing Fee
Please note that the e-Visa processing fee is non-refundable.
Entry Not Guaranteed
Having an e-Visa does not guarantee entry into the Arab Republic of Egypt. Final authority for entry rests with the immigration officials at the point of entry.
Processing Time
Allow at least 5-10 working days for processing and issuance of your Egypt e-Visa.
