REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN VISA TO ENTER COSTA RICA

TOURIST TRAVEL

  • U.S. Passport must be valid upon arrival and departure in Costa Rica
  • Tickets and Documents for return or future travel
  • No Visa is required for stay up to 90 days (extension is possible)
  • Vaccinations – International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever required if arriving from infected area within 5 days

BUSINESS TRAVEL

  • U.S. Passport must be valid upon arrival and departure in Costa Rica
  • Tickets and Documents for return or future travel
  • No Visa is required for stay up to 90 days

  • U.S. Official/Diplomatic Passport must be valid upon arrival and departure in Costa Rica
